CASE STUDY:
PRAYER ROOM
Project Overview
Prayer Room was more than just a recording, it was the release of a vision carried for over 20 years by Evangelist Ramona Hearn of New Mount Zion COGIC in St. Louis. The result was two deliverables: a 30-minute full event video and a 4-minute mini-documentary that tells the story behind the vision and invites viewers into the moment.
Creative Direction & Production
From pre-production planning to post-production delivery, this project was developed and executed from the ground up under my creative direction. Every element visual identity, edit flow, color grade, audio mix, and overall experience was designed to reflect the heart of the message. My goal was to help the church present media they can be proud of, with professional polish and storytelling that engages a broad audience.

Team Collaboration
On the day of the shoot, I was joined by a multi-talented volunteer team who handled their roles with excellence. Their communication was strong, their focus was steady, and even when challenges came up, they stayed committed to producing something beautiful.

Challenges & Wins
Although there were challenges on the day of the shoot, the team worked together to overcome them and deliver a polished final product. This project demonstrates what is possible when clear direction meets strong teamwork and how a single-camera setup can still feel cinematic when handled with intention.
Results & Impact
The finished videos now serve as an invitation to pray, seek Christ, and step through the “door of opportunity” that has been opened after two decades of a season of waiting. This project also sets a benchmark for future productions and shows what can happen when churches invest in media that matches the excellence of their message.
Personal Mission
I have a heart to help churches and non-profits deliver media they can be proud of: videos that look professional, sound excellent, and tell their stories well. The Prayer Room project is a just a relatively small example of how thoughtful planning, intentional design, and collaboration can elevate ministry content and reach people on a higher level. Although there are areas of improvement, the mission is to strive for excellence.
All photography for this project was captured by Keyauna Odneal, whose eye for detail brought the Prayer Room story to life.
